Cultura e Spettacolo Bocci applauds the choice of Ferrara

FESTIVAL: ON. BOCCI PLAUDE ALLA SCELTA DI FERRARA MA "FRANCIS NON SI CHIAMI FUORI"
Italian MP Bocci (Ulivo_PD) states his great satisfaction for minister Rutelli's timely, authoritative decision to appoint Mr Giorgio Ferrara as Spoleto Festival director. He deems it a pearl of "good politics" because:
  • Mr Ferrara is a recognised and qualified learned man.
  • Mr Ferrara already showed his intention to put once again Spoleto Festival at an international high cultural level
  • This Festival can immediately be considered the "restarting" edition (even if there is a few time to organise the 2008’s one)
  • The interest of minister Rutelli made Spoleto Festival a national matter, as strongly required by the 80 MPs who had previously asked to save this highly esteemed cultural event.
Spoleto city, in fact, enthusiastically welcomed the above mentioned decision.Moreover, MP Bocci wishes that Mr Francis Menotti would not refuse the invitation to remain in the Festival organisation in order to keep on Maestro Menotti's name. He finally asks Italian Government and politics in general to continue helping the realization of the Festival and invites the doomsters to be more positive and enjoy the forthcoming Festival edition.
